You know what I love about Castiel? If anybody can have the “big picture”, it’s a time-and-space traveling, millenia old being- and while that usually leads to the kind of detachment we saw in Metatron, or the weariness and bitterness that we saw in Gabriel and Balthazar- Castiel is the one who loves the small things- the kite flying in the blue sky, the monkeys that are so clever that they leave the skins on the bananas they eat, the children playing in the park, the philosophical underpinning of a cartoon, the taste of coffee.

i feel like Ash is one of the more under appreciated characters of the show. I mean we mention him, but i rarely see entire posts dedicated to him, despite the fact that he was an awesome bad-ass who figured out how to work heaven(basically).
